LegalCandidate Assessment Terms

Candidate Assessment Terms

These terms apply when you use Edgeryt Assessment (including through a link from Edgeryt Hire). Eroforze Systems Private Limited provides the software only; the organisation on your invite conducts the assessment and makes hiring decisions. Read the on-screen disclosure before you start — it lists what will be collected for that attempt. Last updated 5 October 2026.

1. Purpose of the Assessment

The assessment evaluates skills or other criteria chosen by the hiring organisation for a job, programme or related selection process. Results and Integrity Signals (if any) are shared with that organisation. Completing an assessment does not guarantee an interview, offer or any employment outcome.

2. Who Is Conducting the Assessment

The organisation displayed in the assessment flow (your invite or registration screen) (“Organisation”) conducts the assessment, sets the content and proctoring level, and decides how results are used. The Organisation is typically the data controller (or “Data Fiduciary” under India’s DPDP Act, where applicable) for your assessment and hiring-related personal data.

Eroforze Systems Private Limited (“we”, “us”), CIN U28249TZ2024PTC031297, provides Edgeryt Assessment and related infrastructure as a technology provider and data processor / Data Processor only. We do not employ you, recruit on behalf of the Organisation, or make selection or rejection decisions. We are not a party to any employment relationship between you and the Organisation.

Workspace customers using Edgeryt Hire are also bound by our Terms of Use. These Candidate Assessment Terms govern your participation as a candidate.

3. How the Assessment Works

You redeem a code or open an invite link, confirm or register your details, complete preparation steps (privacy notice, system checks and any required media checks), then answer questions under a timer if configured. When you submit, scoring and review happen for the organisation. Monitoring stops when you submit.

4. Candidate Eligibility

You must be the person invited or applying, and legally able to participate. Do not take an assessment on behalf of someone else.

5. Assessment Rules

6. Prohibited Activities

7. Camera, Microphone and Screen Permissions

If the assessment enables camera, microphone or screen sharing/recording, your browser will ask for permission. Declining required permissions may block you from starting when the assessment is fail-closed. Screen share may be monitored live without storage, or recorded, as disclosed before you start.

8. Identity Verification

Some assessments require a photo of your face and, when configured, a photo of a photo ID (any photo ID, a government photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence or voter ID, a college ID, or an employee ID). When ID-card match is enabled, the face on the ID is compared with yours on your device, and reviewers may see both photos.

9. Proctoring and Monitoring

Depending on configuration, we may record when you leave fullscreen or switch tabs or windows; whether more than one display is connected; copy and paste attempts (and may block them); camera presence including face presence and head-direction patterns checked on this device; a photo from your camera about every 30 seconds; microphone alerts when a voice other than yours is heard; and when you and anyone else are speaking if short audio evidence clips are saved.

10. Recording and Assessment Data

Always collected: your answers and when they were saved; browser, device type and screen size; IP address, internet provider and approximate location (city). When enabled: short camera and/or audio clips around integrity issues (about 15 seconds before and after), and/or short screen clips around issues plus continuous screen recording while you work outside the browser on a file or project question. Your shared screen while the assessment runs may be monitored live and not stored when the assessment uses share-only mode.

11. AI-Based Proctoring / Detection

Face, gaze and voice checks may run on your device. We may also look for signs that automation tools or AI agents are controlling the browser. Optional cloud AI may grade written answers when the Organisation enables it. These signals and scores create integrity events, summaries or grades for the Organisation’s reviewers; they are indicative only and are not a hiring decision by Eroforze Systems Private Limited.

AI and automated checks can be wrong. The Organisation must apply human review before adverse action where required by law. See our AI Notice.

12. Technical Requirements

Use a supported modern browser, a stable connection and the devices required by the assessment (webcam, microphone or screen share when enabled). System checks run before start.

13. Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodations

If you need a reasonable accommodation, contact the organisation conducting the assessment before you start. You may also email privacy@edgeryt.com for technical access issues with the Platform.

14. Assessment Integrity

Integrity events (including focus loss, clipboard use, extra displays, media issues and automation signals) may be stored and summarised for the organisation. Repeated violations may end the attempt when configured.

15. Consequences of Violations

The organisation may invalidate an attempt, flag results or take hiring actions according to its policies. Eroforze Systems Private Limited does not make employment decisions for the Organisation.

16. Candidate Privacy

See our Privacy Policy and the short privacy summary on the assessment origin. Face checks run on your device; video frames are not uploaded solely for on-device face detection. Recordings and photos are deleted within the retention period shown before you start, subject also to the organisation’s settings.

17. Candidate Rights

For access, correction, deletion, grievances or questions about how the Organisation uses your data for hiring, contact the Organisation first (details on your invite or apply page when provided). You may also contact privacy@edgeryt.com about the Platform. Rights under the DPDP Act (India), GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws are described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Technical Issues and Support
